We will now see how to use VBSt to change the number of App Tile lines on the startup screen.

First download the Microsoft ChangeNumberOfAppsTileRows (VBScript) ZIP file and extract its contents. After extraction, you will see the VBS file ChangeNumberOfAppsTileRows.vbs. Just double-click on this script file.

Enter the number of lines to be modified. I entered 5, so I’ll reset it from 3 to 5. Press OK. When the script is finished, a window containing brief information about the result is displayed. And then you will be prompted to log out to take effect, so log out by clicking Yes. After logging in, you will see that StartScreen has 5 rows of App Tiles.

As you can see, VBS is also easy to use. Then try it! Codes and other details can be found on the TechNet script link above.

Please also note that this method does not work for tablets with screens smaller than 12 inches, depending on the maximum screen resolution. You may need to use the Registry Editor’s Tweak method.

Hope this helps!
