If connectivity is limited and only the local network is available, you will see an exclamation mark above the network icon or Wi-Fi icon. If you can connect and you do not have a limited Internet connection, or if you do not want to be notified, Windows cannot display this exclamation mark.
To disable this yellow triangle exclamation mark , start the ‘Run’ dialog box by pressing Win+R in combination. In the empty field , type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor. When UAC prompts you, press ‘Yes’.
Navigate to the next button :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindows Network Connections
Right-click an empty field and select New > DWORD Value.
Name it NC_DoNoNotShowLocalOnlyIcon.
Now double-click the same button to display the editing window and assign the number 1 among the value data.
Click OK.
Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
If your Windows version comes with the Group Policy Editor, run gpedit.msc.msc and browse to the following parameter :
Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Network > Network Connections
Enable setting Do not display the’Local Access Only’ icon and restart your computer. This disables notification Internet Access No.
The yellow exclamation mark no longer appears on the network icon, even if you have a limited network connection.
See this message if you cannot connect to the Internet after upgrading to Windows 10 and this message if you have received an IP address conflict message.
