Some users of ES files find a folder called .estrongs in their file manager and wonder what that folder is. The file manager on your smartphone contains all the folders and files that your phone uses for specific applications or systems. Each folder is for a specific use on your phone. ES File Manager is a third party application that can be used instead of the standard file manager. In this article, we are going to discuss what the .estrongs folder is and whether it is safe to delete it.
What is the .estrongs folder?
When you install ES File Manager on your Android phone, you will get multiple folders and one. This folder contains the recycled files on your mobile phone that were deleted with this file manager. The file manager does not save files in this folder if the Trash option is not selected in the settings. This folder will be marked as a hidden folder / hidden file in your phone’s file manager. When you show hidden folders, you will see the .estrongs folder in your file manager. Size may vary depending on the data you delete with ES File Manager.
In this folder, you will find several database files with multiple folders. In the subfolder, you will find a folder named recycle that contains all the files that you deleted with ES File Manager. Each file is located in a separate folder depending on the path to the original file. The recycled files will not appear in your library as this folder contains .nomedia files that should be hidden in the phone library.

Therefore, if we want to make a final conclusion about security, we can safely delete the .estrongs folder from your phone. Deleted data may accumulate in this folder and its size will grow and consume a lot of phone memory. Removing it frees up a lot of memory for your phone. You can also check the data before completely deleting this folder as it will be difficult to recover the data afterwards using ES File Manager’s recycle bin function.
How to move folders

The latest drop and the reason for this article is because ES File Explorer recently added another piece of malware: DU Charge Booster. I usually install a file explorer because I want a file explorer, not a charge amplifier. However, the ES File Explorer team disagreed and this is how DU Charge Booster appeared on my phone’s lock screen when I plugged it in to charge.
