Windows 10 System Requirements
In a casual web browsing, I found out that there are many people who are searching for the system requirements for Windows 10 even before the latest version of Windows 10 is out. However, even after a bit of research, I could not find a reliable source which can give them the correct answer to the question, so I thought to write a short article giving the details about the system requirements to install the latest upcoming version of Windows.
Well, the thing which can be pretty satisfying if you have a low configuration computer, is that the new Windows System Requirements will be the same as of Windows 8. So if you have windows 8 running onto your system, then you can be pretty relaxed because Windows 10 will be working without any trouble on your computer.
Windows 10 System Requirement list
- 1Ghz or faster processor, supporting PAE, NX, SSE2
- 1GB of RAM for 32 bit installation and 2 GB of RAM for 64 bit installation.
- 16 GB hard disk space for 32 bit installation, whereas 20 GB of free space for 64 bit installation
- Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
So these were some of the basic hardware requirements for installing Windows 10. The requirements are very much identical as compared to Windows 7 and Windows 8, however, Windows 7 did not need the support of PAE, NX and SSE2, which is required to install Windows 8 and above.
Another thing which has caused Microsoft to go with the same requirements is the fact that a lot of enterprises are using Windows 8 and just because of a change in OS, they would not prefer going for hardware upgrade, so it is pretty easy for them to migrate from Windows 8 to Windows 10 if the requirements are the same.
