Press Win+I and open the Settings Panel->App & Features panel and search for Microsoft OneDrive.

Double-click the application and click the Uninstall tab.

If you have not yet updated your Windows PC with Windows 10 Creators Update, you can disable the OneDrive application using the Run command. This allows you to uninstall OneDrive on Windows 10 or even on your Windows 8 PC.

  • Open the Run dialog box by pressing Win+R.
  • Type cmd to open the command prompt.
  • Type TASKKKKILL /f /in OneDrive.exe to stop the OneDrive process running.

To completely uninstall OneDrive from your Windows 10/8 PC, type the following commands in a CMD prompt :

  • Type : %systemroot%System32OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall – for a 32-bit system,
  • Type : %systemroot%SysWOW64OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall – for a 64-bit system.

These commands completely remove OneDrive from your PC, but some application-related files and folders may still be somewhere on your PC. Your OneDrive files and folders will be preserved even after the application is deleted. To delete the remaining files and folders from the application, manually search and delete OneDrive in the ProgramData, LocalAppData and UserProfile folders.

The remaining OneDrive registry keys on your PC, open the registry editor and delete the following key

  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTWow6432NodeCLSID{018D5C66-4533-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}.
  • HKEY_CLASSES_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{018D5D5C66-4533-4533-4307-9B53-224EN2ED1FE6}.
