This can be any hardware that connects to your Windows 10 PC or comes with your PC, tablet or phone. Any external storage device such as Pen Drive, SSD, etc., Xbox game console, TV or projector that you have connected to your PC can be considered a trusted device.

You can use a privacy setting built into Windows 10 to control the applications that connected devices use and communicate with. To configure this privacy setting, do the following:

1 Start the Settings application by pressing Windows + I.

(2)Click Privacy (location, camera) as shown in the image above.

3 Scroll down the left pane of the privacy settings and click Other Devices.

4 On the right side of the window, you will now see a section entitled Use trusted devices, as shown in the image above.

5 This section displays the list of devices connected to your PC. In my case, it’s just one.

6 If you want your PC applications to use these devices, turn the switch with the name Let applications mean to the On position. Here, the device name is the name of your device, which you normally use to connect to your PC.

7 You can also configure the applications that these devices can use. To do this, activate the Toggle in front of the desired applications.

In this way, you can configure your Trusted Device to be used by applications on your Windows 10 PC.

It is also important to note that you can access the Applications website to learn more about how your applications and devices work and how they can have a significant impact on your privacy.
