Microsoft extends the functionality of the Windows Preferences window, which opens by clicking the ‘Win+I’ button. If you are using Windows 10 v1803, you may not need to open Task Manager to close an application that is not responding because you can close preinstalled system applications yourself using Windows 10 settings.

The task manager is probably the best way to close a non-reactive process or other application that you want to close. Microsoft has now added a new option in the Windows settings that allows you to close any preinstalled application in a few moments. If you want to try something new, do it.

Open Windows 10 Preferences and go to Apps > Apps & Features. On the right side, you will find all the applications that were delivered with the Windows installation. Find the one you want to close and click the button Advanced Options.

Until now, there was only one option called Reset. However, there is now an option called Terminate.

Click the Exit button to close the application immediately.

You will not be notified when the application is closed, but the application and related processes will be closed immediately.

From now on, I could only see some preinstalled applications like alarm clock and clock, calculator, camera, mail and calendar, maps, messaging, etc.
