Microsoft released patch for Windows 10 preview to fix black login screen issue
Few months ago Microsoft has released preview version of its upcoming Operating System for testing purpose and from then Microsoft was released updates regularly to fix many issues. Today Microsoft has announced a new update (KB3055415) to the Windows 10 Technical Preview which address an issue when the login screen is black screen and forcing the user to blindly sign into their account. User complained about this bug in forums and this came with the build 10061. Microsoft’s official Gabriel Aul confirmed the release of solution for this fix on his Twitter.
He written that,
WU update released today for 10061. Fix for blackscreen issue after login: support.microsoft.com/kb/3055415″.
Windows Support website has mentioned that,
When you sign out of Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10061 and return to the lock screen, you might notice only the Black screen with the respective mouse cursor. Pressing Alt+Tab keys or Ctrl+Alt+Del key doesn’t have visible effect.
This is very useful fix for those who are using Windows 10 Technical Preview and welcomed by the users who are already dealt with those issues. If you are also getting the Black screen when you are attempting to log in before updating the Windows 10 installation, Microsoft has shared some tricks with the users to try and work around this issue, but these tricks are temporary. When you face the Black log in screen, press the CTRL key to focus on the password field and type the password how you did normally.
