Microsoft added new intune capabilities for Outlook on iOS and Android

Last month at the Ignite conference Microsoft has showcased the new Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) capabilities in the Outlook app for Android and iOS. Today Microsoft has announced that the customers using the Outlook app for iOS and Android can now use the built-in Mobile Device Management for Office 365 or Microsoft Intune to secure your email information on the mobile devices within their organization.

With the latest update to enable OAuth and add support for Multi-Factor Authentication, Outlook now provides leading set of controls for securing the corporate email, calendar data on the Android and iOS mobile devices while preserving a rich and empowering the experience for users. Users who are looking to manage the Outlook app for iOS and Android now got two options – use the core capabilities of the built-in Mobile Device Management available in Office 365 or full power of Microsoft Intune which includes everything delivered in the MDM for Office 365 Plus additional mobile device and application management capabilities.

Managing Outlook with in-built MDM in Office 365
