Issues that Windows 8/7 users will face after upgrading to Windows 10
Two days back, Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 is coming on July 29 and it is analyzed that it is coming few quirks which you might not enjoy. It is surprising to see that the new operating system doesn’t support some features which the old did, and we can say this as a brave move. Already most of the techies are eagerly waiting for the launch of Windows 10 for public on June 29 and what making them to eagerly look for that is Windows 8 and 8.1 debacle. Because of the both Windows 8 and 8.1 operating system millions of the users refused to upgrade to Windows 8 from Windows 7 and this lead Microsoft to lose market for Google and Apple.
What are the issues
First of all Windows 10 doesn’t support the Desktop gadgets, Hearts game, Windows media center. Long back it was announced that Windows Media center will be killed, but most of the fans wanted it to return and Microsoft did not see why it needed to. However Windows Media Center was ahead of its time, but its purpose no longer serves good for Microsoft. Xbox Video and Music both are good enough for whatever entertainment content users need to consume and the only drawback of these platforms is that the doesn’t support Live TV playback.
As for the Desktop Gadgets like on Windows 7, Windows fans should have seen this coming from the million miles away. We are not sure why, but most of the users are still using Floppy Disks, such that Microsoft has thought that they require drivers for this. Also we cannot play DVDs out of the box in Xbox Video and you can download and install third party media player like VLC media player to come out of this problem.
These are the some issues and we are not specific of the other problems that users might face when Windows 10 is available to public in July 29, but we will report it to you later. For now we hope that all the bugs, errors and stability and performance improvements are done for the Technical Preview version.
