How to use quiet hours to silence the notifications on Windows 8.1

Like Android and iOS operating systems, Windows 8 also features an apps notification function, notifies you when you receive the new messages, calendar events, email and others. But unfortunately, Microsoft has provided its users the scant options for silencing these notifications. You can shut them for some time or turn them off completely. However, Microsoft has rectified this omission in Windows 8.1 update, by adding new Quiet hours options which allows the users to schedule when the notifications should be active and when they shouldn’t.

When you enable the Quiet hours feature, it ensure that the notifications doesn’t make any sound or cause the screen to light up when your Windows 8.1 device is in sleep mode. Whenever you start using the device after the quiet hours are over, then your notifications will be restored automatically.
