How to stop Microsoft ads on Windows 10

Since its release Windows 10 has received positive buzz all over the world. Users praised its Notification and Action center, Start menu and other features. But at the same time, few users are annoyed with the spitting out notifications-ads from Microsoft deludes you to buy or upgrade Microsoft Office as show below.



Luckily, it is very easy to disable these ads, but bit tricky as you need to identify where they are coming from. Actually these notifications come from the new Get Office app that comes preinstalled on Windows 10.

How to stop Microsoft ads on Windows 10

You can disable these ads on your Windows 10 PC in different ways. If you never want to leverage the Office discounts in the app, then follow the below step.

  • Open the start menu and go to All Apps list, right click on Get Office app and click on uninstall. Then you will be asked to confirm the deletion and do so.


Another way is, just silencing the ad notification without deleting Get Office from your PC.

  • Open Start menu and navigate to Settings > System > Notifications & Actions. Scroll down to find Show notifications from these apps and slide off Get Office app slider.

That’s it done, from now you will not get any Office ad notifications.
