How to remove Windows 10 upgrade notification on Windows 8

Last week, we reported that Microsoft has started rolling out the notifications to Windows 7 and Windows 8 PCs to reserve their free Windows 10 upgrade. Microsoft is delivering this notifications to the users through the Windows update program. The Windows upgrade assistant is  named as GWX.exe in C:WindowsSystem32GWX.

KB3035583- Update enables additional capabilities for Windows Update notifications in Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 SP1.

If you are not interested to install Windows 10 on your Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC, then you can remove it from your computer. For this you need to go to Windows Update > Installed update, remove KB3035583. After removing you also need to hide the update again in the Windows updates to prevent it from auto installing again in future since this is marked as important.
