• In the Registry Editor, use the menu on the left to navigate to the next location:
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \
• When you get there, right-click the Plex, Inc. button and select “Delete” in the context menu that appears again.
• After you have removed the registry section associated with Plex, close the registry editor and press Windows Key + R to open another Run dialog box. This time paste the following command into the text box and press Enter to go to the hidden Appdata folder (hidden by default):

• % LOCALAPPDATA%
• In Application Data> Local folder, scroll through the list of folders and find a folder named Plex Media Server. When you see it, right-click it and select “Delete” in the context menu that opens.
• After deleting the folder, you actually removed all the components from the previous Plex installation. Now reboot your computer to complete the process and wait until the next boot is complete.
• After backing up your computer, visit the Plex Media Server download page and download the latest version of Plex Media Server for Windows.
• Once the download is complete, double-click the installation executable, click “Install” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Remove the personalized URLs from the Tools menu.

  • del com.plexapp.plugins.library.db
  • sqlite3 com.plexapp.plugins.library.db <dump.sql
• Delete or save the following two files (in another folder), then restart the PMS:
  • com.plexapp.plugins.library.db-shm
  • com.plexapp.plugins.library.db-wal

Disable third party software intervention
