Drivers are very important for any device on Windows PC, as they help then to work as they should work. If proper drivers were not installed on your PC, then they always a headache. In case of driver issues, Windows tries to download them automatically and install the drivers required. But in case if Windows fails to download the drivers automatically, then you can go to manufacturer’s website for correct drivers.   • In order to find the drivers for unknown devices, you need to access the device manager where you can manage all the drivers on your PC.
  • In Windows 8 press Win+X keys to open power user menu and select Device manager option. If you are using Windows 7 or Vista then search for device manager in start menu.


  • This will open device manager and if there are any unknown devices then they will be listed under Other devices category. All the devices which have some problems will have exclamation mark in yellow color.
  • Now right click on the unidentified device and select properties from the options.


  • This will open the properties window for that specific device and here click on Navigate tab and you will see Device description by default.
  • Now select Hardware Ids from the drop down under Property and this will display the list of gibberish strings which are the device identifiers.
  • Right click on any Unique ID and select copy option to copy device ID to the clipboard.
  • After copying it paste it in Google Chrome or any other browser and it will display the name and other details required to search for the proper driver.

Once you found the specific driver, then install it like any other driver and that’s it the device will function properly.
