How to add RSS feeds to Outlook 2013 in Windows 8.1

One of our reader has written us that, he was using Windows Live Mail as the default mail client on his PC, but he was decided to use Microsoft Outlook 2013 as the default client. He want to add the RSS feeds to Outlook and also he desire to import his previous RSS feeds in Outlook. Here we are going to show you how to do that.

How to add RSS feeds to Outlook 2013 in Windows 8.1

  • Open the Outlook 2013 app and click on File tab. Under the info section, you will find Account and Social network settings, click on it.
  • Then click on Accounts, and now under RSS feeds tab, add or remove RSS feeds or you can also change the existing ones.

  • If you are adding the first RSS feed, then you will find a new entry RSS feeds in the left side of the Outlook app.

  • If you want to add more RSS feeds, then just right click on this link and select Add a New RSS feed.

How to import RSS feeds into Outlook

If you would like to import your previous RSS feeds from your old email client to the Outlook, then you need to import the OPML file. So export the file from your old email client or Internet Explorer browser. After doing this, right click on this link, select Import an OPML file option. That’s it, all your RSS feeds on the previous email client will be then imported to the Outlook and they will appear under the link.
